Coral Moons is an indie pop band that formed on the shores of Boston and recently relocated to the woods of Upstate New York. If they’re not tending to their gardens, taking film photos with vintage cameras, or drinking homemade wine by the fire, they’re touring nationally and hitting up major music festivals on the way.
The solitude and stillness of the cabin has had an immersive impact on lead singer and songwriter, Carly Kraft (she/her). She describes a week at their home studio in the woods, caring for her chickens, as a healing experience. Seeking refuge to heal old wounds, moving to the countryside has forced her to slow down and reclaim what was always hers — her songs.
In August of 2021, the band released their highly anticipated debut album Fieldcrest: a full-length LP produced by Sam Kassirer, best known for his work with Lake Street Dive and Josh Ritter. The release led them to stages around New England and beyond, playing Levitate Music Festival, Boston Calling, and opening for numerous nationally touring acts including Ripe, David Shaw, AHI, and Motel Radio. The band blends surf-pop with retro rock n’ roll influences to create a signature sound carried by Kraft’s powerful vocals.
In 2024, Coral Moons signed to Better Company Records to release their sophomore LP summer of u, produced by Andy D. Park and featuring guitar by Jessica Dobson of Deep Sea Diver.
